The theme song was originally a remix of the first Sonic games, but due to copyright reasons the composer Howard Drossin had to make a new theme song. The same thing happened with the Game Over song. The "All Emeralds Collected" song also differs. * Something interesting happened while I ripped this game. I noticed the song "Lava Power House" had a new instrument I haven't noticed before. It wasn't there when I used an older version of Kega to rip the song, and now it is. The instrument goes throughout the song until it first loops, and then it vanishes completely and forever. While I could consider this to be the proper way the song plays, it doesn't seem to be present in the actual console run. So, I decided to treat it as two different versions. The second version did had a charm of its own anyway, so it's interesting to treat it as a slightly different version. :) - Duke The PSG in Lava Power House disappears after the first loop due to a bug in the song. This was fixed in the European version. There were a few releases of the final version of the game that used the beta themes noted above. I wonder why they made the Intro tune longer for the European release. Ironically they made it so long that it's never completely played ingame. - Valley Bell Updates: 2.00 - Added beta tracks for Intro, Unused Intro, Emerald Collected and an unused song that was supposed to be The Machine, as well as the Japanese "Too Bad" jingle and the European theme variations for Theme and Intro. Reripped and -trimmed Toxic Caves due to a wrong loop. Also I cut the beta tunes from the playlist and made a new playlist with a beta OST. - Valley Bell 2.05: Fixed composer credits. - dissident93
